Projects that the District is currently working on include:
1) Replacement of the marine outfall on the North Shore of Orcas Island
2) Installation of sewer main line extensions into the Bonnie Brae and Hope Lane subdivisions
3) Investigate the need for future expansion of treatment facilities including new administrative offices and a Board meeting room
4) Completion of a Comprehensive Plan for the Orcas Village area and connecting all homes located in the Orcas Village service area.
Future projects include the installation of a sewer main line extension down Blanchard Road to the North Shore and the construction of a bio-solids handling facility sufficient to process the District's septage from the collection system and sludge from the treatment processes which would produce Class "A" bio-solids that can be land applied and to also have the ability to receive septage from others on Orcas Island.
